As for R5, the ‘R’ stands for Rapier, and the ‘5’? It naturally follows Version 4, marking the next step in its evolutionary journey.

MP5 – The Datastream Era

Fast-forward to the ’90s and Datastream Systems stepped in. They rebranded the platform to MP5, making it a sibling to their existing CMMS product, MP2.

D7i (aka DS7i, 7i) – The Web Revolution

Here comes the web-based era. Datastream transitioned MP5 to D7i. The ‘7’ is a sum-up of ‘5’ from MP5 and ‘2’ from MP2. The ‘i’ was a smart nod to its fresh, new web-based capabilities—eliminating the need for local installations.

InforEAM – New Horizons

When Infor acquired the product, it was aptly renamed as InforEAM. This era brought new integrations and features that greatly expanded its utility.
